12.1 (GR 716 286) From Memorial Hall, follow footpath away from the main road 100m to reach a tarmac road at the head of a cul-de-sac by a small green surrounded by bungalows. Follow the road (Balsam Close) 150m to junction by grit bin and go R along The Avenue and follow 200m passing crossroads to the end and locate path to L through to Munday’s Mead. Go R 40m then just before #46, go L along path 100m then go L on broad tarmac road 100m to the head of a cul-de-sac. Go R and follow 100m to Common Road. Go R 80m to cross bridge over A303, then L into Snag Lane for 250m to end of tarmac. Continue on path across first field and then continue through woodland to the entrance to Snag Farm. Go through yard to reach gate and go ahead 250m with hedge on R to reach Devenish Lane and go ahead 450m to junction by small bench and parish noticeboard. Go R 750m, at first ascending gently passing Stoke Trister Church and then descending through the hamlet of Stoke Trister to reach a grass triangle. Here, go sharp R and follow for 2Km at first descending steeply, then flat, then a long steady ascent (Long Hill) to reach L turn to Cucklington Church and 80m beyond by the entrance to Church Farm look for steep narrow path on L leading in 60m to another road. Go R 20m then L into track (SP The Old Rectory) for 100m and where track bears R continue ahead on narrower path 700m to a road.
12.2 (GR 764 278) Go R 1Km and at Symphony Farm go R at grass triangle for 650m then L into Wayclose Lane (SP Buckhorn Weston). Follow 900m and near the top of a slight rise go R on waymarked path. Cross the first two fields across stiles keeping the boundary on the right and in the third field, bear slightly left to another stile. Continue ahead now with the boundary on the left across stiles to reach a crossing path. Go L straight across field to metal gate, then bear slightly R to far R corner and locate bridge and stile. Continue in the same direction to a stile between two trees on the far boundary. In the next field, bear slightly R to a metal gate and then slightly L on a faint path to another metal gate. Cross the next two field to reach a narrower field and cross to another metal gate. Here go straight ahead to the L of a large barn then L to a waymarked stile then R to follow a concrete track to reach a road.
12.3 (GR 742 246) Go L along road 600m to a junction and go R (SP Templecombe). After 650m go over bridge over railway and continue along Gigg Lane for another 750m to cross a small bridge with white railings and just beyond go through gate. Go across field keeping hedge on R to gate and across the next field now with hedge on L. At next field go R 45 degrees to small gate in hedge (not the large gate leading to a track) and continue 350m with hedge on R to reach a concrete bridge. Cross and go through gate along stony track100m then go R along waymarked track 600m to reach a bend in a tarmac road. Go L and follow road 700m to entrance to Mohuns Park then a further 400m to reach the A30. Cross with care to the tarmac road opposite and follow 250m then R on waymarked track. Follow 900m to reach tarmac road and continue ahead 400m to reach the end of Blackmoor Lane by pub. Go L 80m then R into Church Street 120m to reach church. (GR 723 198)
